This Sunday LOCATION CHANGE and more information

posted Jun 7, 2013, 2:10 PM by Minnesota Family Church

Dear All,

7:00 Day of All Things pledge service and traditional holy day celebration at the church center. If you are able to help with preparation or any aspect, including cleanup, please call me.

The weather has been "iffy" and there is the chance of scattered showers on Sunday morning. Because of that, we will move ourSunday service to a location where we know we can have a roof over our heads. Sunday service will be at Boom Island, just about two miles from the church. It is easy to find.

DIRECTIONS: The address is 724 Sibley St. NE, Minneapolis, MN 55413. From the church you can take 4th St. SE going northwest (right turn), continue about 1 miles. That road ends at a T, 1st St. NE. Turn left one block, then turn right onto University Avenue. Go about 8 blocks to 8th Avenue NE. Turn left at the light at 8th Avenue NE and go for about five blocks. You will have gone through two stoplights. The park entrance is on your left just before the bridge.

Turn left as you go into the park. We have reserved shelter house "C", which is the one furthest in, and the one closest to the playground. If you have any trouble finding it, call me at 612-309-8354. Please bring lawn chairs or blankets. There is not enough seating.

There is a nice playground there. Please remember that we are not far from the river so please keep a good eye on your children.

The younger generation will be doing the Sunday service. That's something to look forward to!

After service, the church will provide hotdogs, hamburgers, buns, and a big jug of water. Each family can bring a picnic lunch . Please provide your own cups, drinks, utensils, and whatever side dishes your family would like.

After lunch, Ben Pehling is going to have some sports or games. Bring your toys, kites, or whatever. There is a nice big field so this is a perfect spot for kites and play.

If you have picnic table cloths to share for the day, please bring them.

Parking is seventy-five cents an hour or you can park on the street (a bit of a trek) and walk in. You can pay by cash or credit card.

Invite friends and family!

Consider reading about Day of All Things with your family in these days before the holy day to help prepare.
